CUSTOMS CLEARANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS

Individuals can order goods via the Internet exclusively for personal needs!

Take care not to order/import goods that are not original (counterfeit goods). If the customs authority suspects that the shipment is counterfeit, it will temporarily seize it and take further prescribed measures, which may ultimately lead to the permanent confiscation of the goods and their destruction.

According to the currently valid law, VAT in Montenegro is 21%.

The customs rate (duty) for calculation in the abbreviated procedure is 5%.

∙ For goods of insignificant value (up to €75), and where the sender is a legal entity, neither customs nor VAT is paid.

∙ If the sender is a natural person, this limit is €45. 5% customs duty + 21% VAT is charged for each value over the specified value. (values from the invoice + customs duty) + VAT

∙ For goods valued between €75 and €150, and where the sender is a legal entity, VAT in the amount of 21% is calculated and charged. (invoice value + transport costs) + VAT

∙ For goods worth between €150 and €1000, a customs duty of 5% + VAT of 21% is calculated. ((invoice values + transport costs) + customs duty) + VAT

∙ For the import of a shipment worth over €1,000, it is necessary to hire a forwarding company.
